Community guidelines
This is a shared noticeboard for neighbours. Post what you'd be comfortable pinning up in the square.
Last updated 1 October 2026
What belongs here
- Notices, events and news that matter to people in Harisiddhi.
- Photos and videos of festivals, places and everyday life in Jala.
- Local businesses, services, clubs and groups for the directory.
- Stories about the people, history and traditions of the community.
What doesn't
- Hate, harassment or personal attacks - about anyone, for any reason.
- Other people's private details, such as phone numbers, addresses or family matters, without their permission.
- Misleading information, especially anything made to look official when it isn't.
- Advertising or spam outside the directory.
- Photos, music or writing you don't have the right to share.
- Graphic, sexual or violent content.
Photos of people and places
- Ask before sharing close-up photos of people, and always ask a parent or guardian before sharing photos of children.
- Respect places and rituals where photography isn't allowed - some shrines, deities and ceremonies are not to be photographed.
- Hidden location details are removed automatically from photos you upload - see the privacy policy.
How review works
Every submission is read by an editor before it goes live. We may decline it, or make small corrections before publishing. If your submission doesn't appear, it usually means it didn't fit these guidelines.
Keeping the site safe
- Photos can be up to 5 MB each. Everything sent in waits for an editor before it appears.
- To protect the site, the network address and browser of every submission and upload are recorded. Only the editors can see them, and they are deleted after 90 days.
- People who repeatedly break these guidelines, or send spam, will be blocked.
- Uploading illegal material - for example threats, sexual content involving children, or content that defames or harasses someone - may be reported to Nepal Police, together with the details recorded with it, and can be punishable under Nepal's laws, including the Electronic Transactions Act, 2063 (2008).
Asking for something to be removed
If something on the site is about you, shows you or your child, uses your work without permission, or breaks these guidelines, email contact@example.com with a link to the page and a line about why. We'll take it down while we look into it where there's any doubt.
